BODilY: Performance and Artist Talk

  • Silian Gallery 434 King's Road London, England, SW10 United Kingdom (map)

Silian Gallery is delighted to finally annouce the highly anticipated performance by our current show BODilY's exhibiting artist, Abdollah Nafisi, taking place next Thursday 30th May, 2024.

Abdollah Nafisi is an Iranian-born sculptor based in West Sussex, London, whose form-making practice focus on probing the parallel ecologies of nature and of man. Viewing nature as an ever-evolving musical improvisation, Abdollah will be using sounds and vibrations to open up a both personal and collective dialogue about our relationship with the land, revealing those moments of connection and dis-connection we experience when met with heritage and modernity. Through this invisible, time based art form, the performance aims to bring forth a reflection on our ontological and spiritual connectivity with the land and oneself.

The evening performance is followed by an artist talk with Abdollah, joined by art critic and writer Tabish Khan, and our BODilY exhibition curator Marjorier Ding.
